Did you know that each year the Australian Government sets the Migration Program planning levels, i.e. the maximum number of permanent visas that will be issued on a particular financial year?
The planning level for the 2023-2024 permanent Migration Program will be set at 190,000 places, which includes:
137,100 places for the skilled stream, which includes Employer Sponsored (36,825), Skilled Independent (30,375), Regional (32,300), State/Territory Nominated (30,400), Business Innovation & Investment (1,900), Global Talent (Independent) (5,000) and Distinguished Talent (300) visas; and
52,500 places for the family stream, which includes Parent (8,500), Partner (40,500), Child (3,000) and Other Family (500) visas.
Nomination allocations have also been made for state and territory nominated visa categories as follows:
