From 1 July 2026, the following skilled migration income thresholds will increase by 3.9% in line with annual wage indexation (AWOTE):

  • Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT): increasing from $76,515 to $79,499

  • Core Skills Income Threshold (CSIT): increasing from $76,515 to $79,499

  • Specialist Skills Income Threshold (SSIT) for the Subclass 482 Specialist Skills stream: increasing from $141,210 to $146,370

The updated thresholds will apply to relevant employer-sponsored visa nominations lodged on or after 1 July 2026. Existing nominations are not affected.

✅ Employers should review salary packages and workforce planning early

✅ Visa applicants should ensure offers meet the new threshold before lodging applications
