My name is Kristi Georgeson, and I am the Founder and Senior Migration Agent (MARN 1793357) at KG Migration & Education (KGME).
I was born and raised on Saaremaa, the largest island in Estonia. After completing high school, I relocated to Tallinn, Estonia’s capital, to pursue my Bachelor's degree in Law, followed by a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree.
In November 2008, I began my professional career as a Litigation Lawyer at the Estonian Tax and Customs Board, where I worked until December 2011. My primary responsibilities included representing the Estonian Tax and Customs Board in the Administrative Court, preparing defences, analysing relevant legislation, and gathering supporting evidence for cases.
In January 2011, I arrived in Australia on a Working Holiday visa (subclass 417), with plans to stay for just six months. However, life had other plans. After meeting my now-husband, I decided to make Australia my home.
After living the usual backpacker life for a about a year, I decided that it was time to get back into the legal field. I started as a Legal Assistant in a boutique law firm in Sydney and later moved into a Commercial Litigation Assistant role at a mid-tier law firm in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. A few months later, I was promoted to a Commercial Litigation Paralegal position which I held until going on a maternity leave in May 2015.
During this time, I also completed my Diploma in Law to be admitted as a lawyer in Australia, a milestone I achieved in October 2016 when I was officially admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales.

Becoming a Registered Migration Agent in Australia
My journey into migration law began in 2012 when I personally navigated the visa application process. I was eager to share my knowledge and experience with fellow Estonians, and one day, my father-in-law suggested I turn this passion into a full-time profession. Given my legal qualifications in both Estonia and Australia, the transition was seamless. I was officially registered as a Migration Agent in Australia on 14 May 2017, and have been serving clients in this capacity ever since.
What I Offer to My Clients
With over three years of experience as a Litigation Lawyer at the Estonian Tax and Customs Board, I have developed a keen eye for legal analysis, case preparation, and evidence gathering — skills that have been invaluable in my role as a Migration Agent.
Additionally, my experience in the Australian legal sector — particularly my role as a Commercial Litigation Paralegal — has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the Australian legal system, which I apply to every clients case.
My qualifications as a lawyer in both Estonia and Australia further enhance the depth of support I offer to clients. As a registered Migration Agent and an experienced legal professional, I am committed to providing expert, tailored advice to those navigating the complex Australian migration system.
